“Great, or simply wonderful? Such are the terms that are increasingly used to express dilemma with the Montevetrano. On the 2006, it’s hard for me to give a definite answer. Less heavy and persistent than some of its predecessors, yet it gives off a highly suggestive variety of aromas.[…]”

“It's hard to imagine just how quickly the Montevetrano took off, just a couple of years after it was put on the market. Unlike its predecessor, however, the 2005 vintage, retaining a veritable bounty of aromas, gives you something of a clue. That’s why I'm awarding the same score to this red, which, after almost fifteen years, continues to write some beautiful chapters in Campana oenology. [...]"
